GMO's genetically modified organism is a result of taking genes from one species and inserting them into another. That cannot occur in nature or tradition cross breeding. genetically modified food to produce goods other than food. Monsanto is a large chemical company for the use of food production.

I think GMO's are bad for the human body and health. For example they fed rats genetically modified corn and they grew cancer tumors. We should be able to know if we are buying genetically modified foods, because a lot of people like myself would rather eat natural cross breeding vegetables.

Gangsters, a very feared word in society today. Gangs and the gang life have ruined thousands of families across the nation. Usually gangsters start off at a young age, often they have a relative or a brother in a gang. The very first gangs believe or not were mid evil knights.

 They would "fly" there colors, that's where gangsters know a days got the whole Bloods vs Crips. Which is very ridiculous  because no one ever seems to win. Point it if you know a gangster tell him to stop being a naïve and start being productive.

 They just stand around all day "protecting" their hood, when in reality they are just being lazy. And the other thing is that they don't care about society or the rules in a society so therefore they are a nuisance. So please help yourself and your community and help get rid of gangs.

There once was a kid. His name was Phaeton, he lived in Greece. But one thing he always would think about where his father was, or who he was. He always heard his friends talk about their fathers, so one day out of curiosity he decided to ask his mother who was his father? His mother did not want to lie to Phaeton. He was becoming a young man and he needed to know the truth. So his mother sat him down and told him that his father was Helios god of the sun.

So the next day at school phaeton could not wait to tell his friends who his father was. Afterschool, he gathered all of his friends to tell them the good news. He announced to everyone "My father is Helios god of the Sun." All his friends looked at one another and laughed. Phaeton was angry so he defended his word and got into a fight. He went home with a black eye and busted lip. His mother asked him what had happened? He told her what had occurred and she felt guilty. He told his mother if his father was Helios how could he prove it?

 He rested and his mother told him the only way to find your father is to travel as far east as he could, to where the sun rose and he would find Helios temple. Phaeton walked threw Greece, India, and China. He came upon a mountain range and it was getting dark, he figured this the end of the earth so the temple must be near by. He saw a light in the middle of the mountains and he knew he had found the temple.

G.U.R.U. You might be wondering what this means.Gifted Unlimited Rhymes is Universal, he is one of the most respected MC's in history. He is the godfather of rap. He started back in the day 1987 to be exact. He started a rap duo with Dj Premier known as Gang Starr, and began to make music unlike any other. For being two black dudes out of college they where very talented. The didnt know they would make it so big. Their first hit was No more Mr. Nice Guy which them become noticed and from 1987 to 2003 they blew up!

They combined different types of music together and added a bass line too it and made it sound like nothing anybody had heard until then. They used jazz, all the way to classical to sample and make into a continous beat. Thats where Dj Premier came into play he is the mastermind behind it all. His use of the MPC and his turntables to mash up songs gave them the edge in the industry. But he would have never gotten anywhere without guru. He is the storyteller in the songs, his voice and rhymes get your head bumpin and make you want to move. They were the best duo to make rap music, but all good things come to an end and that came in Febuary of 2010 guru died of carrdiac arrest. Ending Gang Starr forever and leaving behind him 22 years of music. So the legend still lives through his music!

I might not be an expert physically, but I am an expert mentally. I know a lot about soccer, because my boyfriend never stops talking about it. He always has something new to tell me, and I find it very interesting. Soccer is a very known sport, and is hated on by all those who cant play it. It takes a certain set of skills to play it.

You have to be agile and know how to move your feet to get past your defender. You also need to know how to shoot the ball to make it go in where you want it too. This is where many people get confused, because it takes a certain touch to make the ball curve and to place it right.

There are many positions in soccer. There is eleven to be exact. Here are the basics you have your defense, your mid-field, and your offense. Most importantly you have your keeper. Soccer like anyother sport is a sport with many rules and three referees. One main ref in the field and two sideline refs who usually help with offsides and fouls committed.

 A official soccer game is 90 minutes long with a fifteen minute half. Only three substitutions and no time outs. Posistions can get much more complex depending on the role that you play in the team. If you are only a finisher who scores the goals you are a striker. If you are a more versitile player you are a mid-fielder which makes you control the pace of your team. If you are a good anticipater you are nore of a defender because you can see where the opponet is going and stop them. These are some of the few things that I have been taught about soccer and something I consider myself good at.

I am against cigarette smoking because they are cancer sticks. They mess up your lungs, teeth, gums, liver, voice, and heart etc. So why do something that can do so much damage to your body? And can  will kill you. Cigarettes are trash, the company itself says they are bad for you. Today in society smoking cigarettes is looked down on because everybody knows they are bad for the body, so there is no excuses for smoking cigarettes. They are made with the worst chemicals and even the things we see in our lives. For example; toilet cleaner, the sole of our show, methane, cat pee, bleach, rocket fuel, and many other things that are not supposed to be entering the human body. The killer though is nicotine. Nicotine is the chemical that gets you addicted to those suckers. Its the chemical that makes you want to smoke another cigarette and keep smoking them. The urge can be so unbareable that people go crazy! In some cases people lose limbs, which is pretty gnarly. So be smart, and dont smoke cigarettes unless you wanna end up like this person. Died of lung cancer.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures and help children with cancer. Also, treatment and prevention of catastrophic diseases in children. No family ever pays St. Jude for anything. They provide patient care, improve diagnosis, and prevent diseases. Everyday a Doctor at St. Jude Hospital, their goal is to improve children's life and to safe a innocent life and a loving family that just wants their kid to live a long time in this world.

This charity is important to me because helping innocent lives and children will make the child, family, doctor, and the volunteer giving happy. Helping a child that desperately need helps with his or her life will make a difference. Think about it, a good, caring, and loving family that can't afford treatment for their child, your donation will help a life. I myself made a 5 dollar donation to the charity to help the kids in need. So be a good citizen and help a child that is in dreadful situation.

Assignment #24 Typing

This is my second time taking a typing test since elementary school. I remember going to the schools computer lab daily to take typing classes online, I just don't remember what it was called. I think if I didn't take those typing classes daily as a kid I would be super slow at typing. Im not the fastest typer but it did help me a lot. If you think your a slow typer I recommend you to take online typing classes or even quick test like I did today. It might sound stupid and boring, but it really helps!

My dream job/career is to be a therapist. I really want this career and job because I want to wake up everyday and help someone improve their life. Treatment for depression that brings new hope to patients everyday. People unsatisfied with their life and want positive changes in it, therapy is one way to let out all your problems instead of keeping them all in. 

A therapist helps you become stronger. A therapist is someone who you can trust, who makes people feel cared, someone that has the experience to help you make better changes in your life. Talking about your thoughts and feelings with someone makes you feel better because it feels good to be listened to. Also, to know someone wants to help you.

I want to be that person in life, a professional trained listener who can make positive changes in peoples life. Everyone has their personal problems in life. Some people make bad decisions on how to treat them. Drugs, Alcohol, and suicidal. 

It shouldn't be in negative ways because in the long wrong its just going to make your life worse. Therapy is a smart and positive way to help these people out. I want to leave this world knowing I made a positive change in peoples life. These are a couple of reasons why I want therapy to be my dream job/career.

If I were stranded a deserted island, I would want to have some kind of shelter to keep me warm at night and possibly protect me from rain and bugs. So, i don't freeze to death from the cold and rain. So, i feel safe from the creatures out in the island and so i feel a little like home.

Also, a dog to protect me from any harm. Dogs have a great sense of smell, so my dog will know when theres danger around us. He will also keep me some company so i don't feel so alone.

My last choice would have to be a weapons to hunt. To feed my dog and I so we don't starve to death. some things to kill,fire, and water.

#13 My favorite food

My favorite thing in this world is food. It makes me and my stomach happy. There's so much food in this world from different cultures. I enjoy a lot of different food, theres just so much. My very favorite are, mexican food, pupusas, pizza hut, and animal fries from in-n-out. I also, love coffee and boba.

My aunt makes the best mexican food, i love it so much its so good even if im full ill keep eating it. Pupusas, are from El Salvador my neighbor makes them every friday, she makes the best ones. If you go to any restaurant or to some other lady that makes them i promise you they aren't as good as my neighbor's. If you aren't familiar to them and don't know what im talking about, its home made tortilla with what ever you want in it. It could be meat,cheese,beans, etc. My friends have never tried them before, and when they did they fell in love.

I absolutely love pizza hut and animal fries from in-out i crave both all the time. Coffee i can't live without, i have to have a cup of coffee every morning, everyday. Boba, is amazing i still remember the first time i tried it. Oreo snow is my favorite.
